Send Your Skin into the Stratosphere with BabyBare Sonic Cleansing Brush

By Emma Coleman, Magnitone Senior Brand Ambassador, Clinic Director, Aesthetic & Dermatology RGN

Face cleansing has been around for centuries, with documentation on the making of skin cleaning products as early as 3000 BC within the Egyptian communities, who used basic scraping tools with ingredients such as egg and olive oil to remove dirt and improve their complexions. Romans as we all know, loved a spa and would often engage in scraping their skin before bathing with a tool made from bronze or iron known as a Strigil. The Victorians washed their faces in bowls of cool water infused with flower petals for a deeper cleanse.

Latterly, basic routines using cleansers and toners have reigned, and now Magnitone London are here to boost our skin beyond all recognition with its range of cleansing brushes. Aside from providing a much more proficient cleanse, trials have shown that using a cleansing brush regularly leads to more even skin tone and texture, as well as a reduction in fine lines, compared to traditional cleansing. There’s also no need to double cleanse when you use a cleansing brush.

Magnitone London’s newest launch, the BabyBare offers cleanse, sonic technology, and massage, as well as a large silicon brushed surface area in a cute bundle. Easily transportable in your handbag, man bag or overhead cabin bag, it’s easy to keep up with your skincare routine in the go too.

What I love about the BabyBare is its three-in-one approach, including Cleanse, the unique Sonic technology - Sonic has the ability to draw impurities out of the skin at a deeper level, almost like having a proper facial – and the Massage function, which improves circulation to the skin’s surface, so important in helping to keep skin squeaky-clean.

Here is how I recommend using the BabyBare:

  1. Apply your face wash or cleanser to your face over the sink or in the shower
  2. Select the  BabyBare on a low speed and apply the soft silicone pad yo your face in circular motions until the whole face has been covered
  3. Switch the BabyBare to a faster mode for a deeper cleanse – you can apply more of your face wash or cleanser to the silicone pad itself if needed at this stage
  4. Rinse the face and pat dry
  5. Apply your serum to the skin – I like Vitamin C for day, Hyaluronic Acid for night
  6. Apply the Massage mode to your face, by turning BabyBare around to encourage absorption of  the serum into the deeper skin
  7. Put your day or night time moisturiser on

If you are short on time, just use Cleanse mode in the morning shower and catch up on the full ritual when you have more time.

As with all Magnitone London devices, BabyBare is super easy to use with no fiddly bits or complicated buttons. It’s only 29.99 too and comes with an instruction booklet, making it accessible for all budgets and ages -  I often recommend this to my clients with Acne Vulgaris or menopausal skin, because it has Gen M accreditation.
